Aikenites who enjoy music at the annual Women’s Heart Board Show Benefit in the winter can double their enjoyment at the mid-year Heart Show Musical Encore scheduled for July 19 and 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the USCA Etherredge Center. This summer, the featured music will be a reprise of the 2015 show called Hero’s Retreat.
“The mid-year show has been so popular that the cast was willing to do it again,” said Jim Moore, director of the annual Heart Benefit.

The 2016 heart show netted $130,800 for the Aiken Women’s Heart Board, which then presented a check in that amount to the local chapter of the American Heart Association. Over the past 40-plus years, the Heart Board’s contributions to the AHA have totaled nearly $2 million. All the donated money benefits the Aiken area.
